Teachers and children shaping digital worlds

Learning Today is a space for reflective teacher practitioners who are interested in digital worlds. Our aims are to share good practice and develop ideas through research in classrooms. With reference to our knowledge of findings in the wider research community and through active dialogue with critical friends, we will contribute to current knowledge and understandings about digital worlds in classrooms.

Thank you to all those who were able to join us at the Learning Today SIG lunchtime 'balloon' meeting at the UKLA International conference at the University of Winchester. It was great to meet you all, and to hear about your interests in digital worlds in classrooms (and thank you to all those who emailed to say they couldn’t be there, but would like to keep in touch…)

It's a real strength that our group consist of people from different areas of education. We talked a little about long term aims, publication, joint proposal for a symposium at UKLA next year... but.. ...every journey starts with a first step!

We need first to get to know each other and our research interests in the classroom and/or when working with training teachers, and to begin to share and discuss ideas with each other in a supportive community of learners. We agreed that we would follow Hazel's ‘what went well, even better if’ idea.
