About Us

This SIG draws from work of the UKLA Task Group Our Space: teachers and children exploring digital worlds (2008-2009). Members of this task group- Lynda Graham, Angela Colvert, Martin Waller and Jackie Marsh (critical friend)-  responded to a number of reports during the year, including Questions from Jim Rose, arising from the QCA/CfSa Primary Review event (Sep 08); Becta digital Information Literacy Review (Oct 08);Review of the Primary Curriculum (Nov 08).  All these responses are on-line at www.ukla.org.

In July 2009 the task group re-convened as a Special interest Group (SIG):

Learning today: teachers and children shaping digital worlds

Founder members are Lynda Graham, Angela Colvert, Martin Waller and Clare Dowdall.

Learning Today is a space for reflective teacher practitioners who are interested in digital worlds. Our aims are to share good practice and develop ideas through research in classrooms.  With reference to our knowledge of findings in the wider research community and through active dialogue with critical friends, we will contribute to current knowledge and understandings about digital worlds in classrooms.

Do join us! All UKLA members are welcome to join our on-line discussions.
